Rocky Mountain Medical Search is a medical search firm for the recruitment and placement of physicians, both permanent and Locum Tenens. We work with clinics and hospitals to help match a physician who ideally fits their opportunities.


The following is a discussion of services provided by RMMS; this list is general by nature, as each search is customized to fit the needs of the candidates and clients.


  • Initial on-site interview or in-depth telephone interview by RMMS staff begins the critical process of defining your recruitment needs and developing the specific candidate profile that will best serve your organization. This personal exchange of information is integral to understanding your employment opportunity, your organization and your community.

  • Design and implementation of a
    comprehensive search campaign.

  • Screening and presentation of CV's of candidates who we feel are most suitable.

  • Spouse/partner interview for evaluation of candidate's family needs regarding spouse/partner occupation, family educational requirements, desired recreational activities, general life style and commitment to relocation.

  • Reference checks to include license verification and phone interview prior to site visit.

  • Coordination of candidate site visits, travel arrangements for candidate and family, coordination of customized spouse/family visit.

  • Follow up with candidate and client post site visit, facilitation of contract negotiations when appropriate and liaison with candidate.


The search process will be specifically tailored to each assignment and may include a variety of sourcing techniques to find the most desirable, qualified candidates available. We are a member organization of First Choice, Inc., a partnership of 12 premier physician recruitment firms with a database of over 150,000 available physicians.


Additionally, we source from databases with over 600,000 practicing physicians, interactive Internet sites, journal advertisements and professional contacts. RMMS is concerned with the needs of both clients and candidates.
